Brookestore

I have spent the last few weeks debating what I should do with this enormous amount of books that I have been lugging from one apartment to the next for the last 8 or so years. So I decided to weed through them and keep the ones I love or that will be useful in the future or that are meaningful. I ended up with all my plays and playwriting books and ditching all the poetry. That was very telling. Anyway, I started looking online and after the percentage that the store takes and the shipping, it's not worth the time. So I thought about selling to local bookstores, but again...they take a huge cut and then I have to lug them all down there. So here's what I decided to do.

Sell them to YOU!!!!

That's right, the link below will take you to an excel sheet I made (cause I also needed to practice using excel) that shows the title, author and ISBN # of each book that is for sale. It's the beginning of my CYBER YARD SALE. Every book is $1.00 except the ones in crappier condition which are $0.50 and there are a couple losers that are free. I've also included some notes about the condition, or anything else I felt like writing. If you want more info, use the ISBN # to look the book up online.

You will notice a lot of books about Elvis, The Rat Pack, Greek Mythology, and Poetry. Old interests die hard.

Now, how will books and money exchange hands you ask? Great question.

When you have finally decided that you can't live without Toni Morrison's Beloved another day, or if you want to know my opinion about a book, or if you have further questions...you can email me NOT AT MY REAL EMAIL, but at this address, cyberyardsale@hotmail.com . ONLY USE THIS ADDRESS TO DISCUSS BUYING/SELLING BOOKS, AND PLEASE DON'T USE MY REAL ADDRESS TO DISCUSS BUYING/SELLING BOOKS!!! If I know you and see you a lot, we'll trade books for cash next time I see you. If I don't know you or you don't live around here, we'll figure it out. Probably you'll send me money with extra for shipping and I'll mail them to you. This is a business built on trust. LOL.

Once a book is bought it will be taken off the list (eventually, my friend is hosting the list on his site which is really nice so it won't be like, daily), it's first come first serve (I know you will all be banging the door down for my used books) and nobody buy the book called "My Century" it's the boringest book I ever read. (aren't I good in sales?)

So, ok, let's see how this goes. Oh! And if you gave me a book and now you see that I'm selling it online, don't make a fuss. I'm sorry.

Most of the books are in pretty good condition, some have "B. Allen" written on the first page, some have writing in them but those are clearly marked on the list.

Also, I know I will get emails asking if I will sell your books for you on my Cyber Yard Sale, and I probably will...for a cut. I'm money hungry y'all. Nah, I'm just hungry. We can discuss it via email.

Now think about it, books are expensive you guys...sometimes really expensive. An, you know, what's a dollar really? Nothing, two cokes, one load of laundry...you can spare a dollar for a good read, right?

No refunds/No whining/No Credit/Yay books!
