I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!
Many of you already knew this, but pretend like you didn't cause I was supposed to keep really quiet about it.
Here is a picture of my little nephew...
Isn't he the cutest baby you have ever seen in your life? I'm so in love with him. He looks like a peabut so we are calling him Peanut. Well, my mom and I are anyway. You may be saying, "How do you know he's a boy? He's too tiny to see anything..." (Hopefully his future girlfriends won't say the same thing) Well my friends. I just know.I'm really good at predicting baby genders. I've only been wrong TWICE! Sometimes I say "I think it's a girl" or "I think it's a boy" because I can tell that is secretly what the mom wants. But secretly I know otherwise. However, I was wrong about a client at my old job and I was wrong about my friend Claire and her darling doodad baby Oliver who is totally not a girl. Otherwise, I'm always right.
I know this is a boy, I can just tell. And I am SO EXCITED.
I made him a stuffed animal and i bought him some onesies. One says "Peanut" one says "Daddy's Little Cheesehead" one says "If you think I'M cute you should see MY AUNT!" and one says "Tater Tot" since this is going to be my brother Tate's tot.
Tate and Tracy are going to be the best parents in the world and I'm going to be a kick ass aunt. Aunt Bea, that's what the baby will call me because those are my initials and also because I had a Gran Bea once and also because it's Opie's Aunt's name on the Andy Griffith show which I think is funny.
This is the first child of the next generation in my family so we are all prepared to spoil him rotten. Until the second child is born in which case Peanut will be quickly swept to the side and forgotten about while we dote on the newer baby.
I'm glad they are just having this one single baby and not the twins yet. This way they can practice. I hexed my brother with twin girls long ago...it's gonna happen. (Karma will probably make it happen to me instead.)
They have decided to name the baby Allen so his name will be Allen Allen. I think it's clever. Just kidding, they have cute names they are thinking about but I'm not telling. Some things have to be a surprise.
Tracy gets to find out the baby's sex in a few weeks. If I'm wrong I will do another month without pizza. I know it is a boy.
Exciting! August 23rd! Baby! Gonna squish it!

Kelly beat me to my own birthday. But yes, that's a quality due date.
Shannon is due August 16 and my cousin is due August 23rd.....I think people were very bored this fall! Did you guess Michael right? Anyway........Give Tate a big congrats from me!!!!!!
Daina, No I didn't have a chance to try and figure out if Michael was a boy or girl because when you called to tell me you were pregnant you also told me the sex, his full name and his exact due date. You were the most on top of it mom to be I'd ever seen!

No one thought I was having a boy; no one. My mom even bought some girly baby clothes before he was born, and then tried to pass them off as gender-neutral. One precious white outfit had lace around the neck, and a pink drawing of a ladybug under which was written in pretty cursive: lovebug. Yeeeeah, not so much gender-neutral.
