Devon Rex

When I went to the cat show* on Saturday a lady handed me something that looked like this. It wheezed snarled and I was afraid of it, then it looked up at me and I fell in love. "It's a Devon Rex" the lady told me. "Purebred". The thing probably cost $600. "Did you ever see the movie Gremlins?" she asked. I nodded, still smitten with the hairless kitten. "They were based on Devon Rex cats. The writer had one."

Luckily I am poor, or I might have gone home with the world's ugliest and most expensive gremlin cat.
