Hurty, Ouch.

I have been complaining for a while now about the pain in my wrist. But I've just sort of been ignoring it. However, tonight I realized that my right arm/wrist/hand feels different than my left one. It's also a little swollen. There is also a dull pain that is moving from my elbow to my hand and then exploding off into each of my digits. Yeah, digits. I also can't squeeze with it. It's also really cracky, everytime I bend it it cracks ("Then don't bend it") So...yeah. Since I don't have any insurance, I'm just going to wait until one of you figures out what's wrong. Then you can write me a prescription for ice which is the only medicine (and food) I can afford until I get a job, which, remember you need to keep your fingers crossed about especially now that I can't cross mine. Owie.

FYI: Season of Concern just last week announced an expansion of our mission to include short-term funding in small, monthly grants of up to $500 a month not only for members of the Chicago performing arts community living with HIV/AIDS but also for those in the entertainment industry experiencing catastrophic illness or recovering from an accident. The expansion doesn't officially begin until January 1, but if this problem with your hand persists, give me a call and I will put you in touch with Don Towne at the Actors Fund. He's our case manager and could meet with you not only about possible SOC funding but also to help you see if there is any way for you to receive medical treatment for this without current health insurance coverage. The number at SOC is 312-332-0518.
