Catching Up

Hi! Oh, I've missed you too. Thanks, you look great also, no really...that outfit is killer. What have you been up to? Mm hmm, oh, interesting, oh wow, cool. That all sounds great. What have I been up to? Little 'ol me? Well...

- I had Thanksgiving with my parents. We normally have a ton of people but this year we were only 8. I accidentally drank a glass of something called ICE WINE which I thought was "iced wine" like it had been in the freezer...but really it was like port and I fell down. The turkey was delicious, the stuffing was amazing and the sweet potato pie was excellent! I decided that I prefer leftover thanksgiving food to original thanksgiving food. Mmm, turkey sandwich!

- Last night I hada dream in Spanish. I dreamt that my mother and I went to Spain to the house where I stayed when I went there in high school and we went inside. As soon as we walked in I just started speaking fluent spanish. My mom was still speaking english and we couldn't understand each other anymore. Go ahead and analyze that one pshychologists of the world.

- I saw my very talented friend Philip's play "Ugly Baby" at Strawdog on Friday. It was very very funny. The multitalented Stephen Rader is in it. It's in Strawdogs new cabaret space so you can have a cocktail during the show. Go Go GO! It's fun.

- New job starts next Monday! Wheee!

- All these movies are good: For Your Consideration. Stranger Than Fiction. Borat. Go to them.

- Why is it so freakishly warm out? I have the windows open and birds are singing. And we're trying to FIGHT global warming? I for one would like to send a different message this Thanksgiving...Thanks Global Warming!

- Erik and I had a 1987 movie marathon in our living room the other day. First we watched Flatliners which was good except we were laughing at how they made Chicago look like Gotham City. I love in scary movies when the character is already nervous and scared so they decide to shortcut through a smoky dark alley with figures of demons spray painted on the walls. Then we watched Project X, a movie I had never even heard of starring Helen Hunt and Matthew Broderick as people who really love Monkeys. Jamie Buckman teaches the monkeys sign language and Ferris Bueller teaches them how to fly simulated airplanes. Then a few of the monkeys die in simulated atomic blasts and the other monkeys FLY A REAL AIRPLANE to freedom in the everglades where they will soon die anyway cause monkeys don't belong in the everglades. Virgil the monkey was real real cute but monkeys are simmilar to tortoises for me because they are animals that are funny and cute but would robably scare me if I were actually alone with one. Also, monkeys kind of look like people and that makes me nervous.

- I think the bridesmaids dresses will be blue. Damn! No pink taffeta and chiffon! I'm still holding out for parasols and tea gloves.

- Who is going to win the Amazing Race? There is one team I'm holding out for and it's probably not the team you would expect me to be holding out for.

That's about all I've been up to. Nice chatting with you! Take care of yourself ok? Bye Bye! (waves) Bitch.
