It is a beautiful day here in the windy city, January is always a tease, it gives you a hint of warmth...no snow, the days seem brighter even though they don't last as long. You don't even really need a coat. And as soon as you say outloud, "Beautiful weather we're having." You get a pile of snow dumped on your head and the dark hateful winter returns for it's appearance in the shortest, yet somehow longest month of February.
Anyway, as for today it is beautiful, so I am going to jump in the shower and head over to "Salad Land" for a delicious leafy salad. ("Salad Land" = Chipotle, Delicious Leafy Salad = Chicken Fajita Burrito) then I'm going to take my disturbing book and my unorganized planner and go sit around outside somewhere. Maybe down by the lake. Of course I never go to the lake in the summertime so it only makes sense I would go in January.
However, before I do any of this nonsense, I would like to give a special shout out. There is a reappearing cast of characters in this blog that you have all come to know and love, specifically my frind Brannen who nowadays when people are about to meet him they turn to me and say, "I feel like I already know him! From your blog!" which is very sweet, and a little scary. Anyway, in a discussion about blogs last night and the positives and negatives involved with them we discussed how strangers will often start reading a blog of someone they don't know. I will admit there are a few blogs that I check up on now and again that are written by people I don't really know. And then there are blogs meant for mass consumption such as www.gofugyourself.com and www.thesuperficial.com which I read each day....cause I'm that girl. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is this, my blog is being read from Seattle to New York and many stops in between. And I've just caught wind that there are more strangers on here than I knew about, which frankly, I think that rocks. I mean, if people who don't even know me at all can look at pictures of my infected pinkeye and then come back for more...well then I love those people.
So this shout out is for you strangers. Way to go strangers! Thanks for reading. If any of you could get me a) a job, b)a date or c) a chicken fajita burrito I would love you even more.
Now I have to go outside and play in the real world for a few hours, where strangers are scary and I can't ponder and rewrite the things I say.
