New Job! Gimme Money!

I started my new temp job...oh yeah by the way, I'm a temp...at Y-ME Breast Cancer Organization. So far so good. Nice people, good cause, busy days that go by quickly. It makes me happy. I'm sure I've jinxed it now, but whatev...I'm a temp, if it sucks...it'll end eventually.

Anyway, I'm also a train-person again. It's weird to be a train-person after being a bus-person for so long. And I guess I didn't realize that the entire city of Chicago congregates daily at 5:30pm at the Belmont stop. They should hang disco balls and have music playing while you stand in line waiting for your big chance to walk down the steps.

Working downtown is nice, I like downtown in good weather and am feeling a little more reconnected to the city. So...all is well.

Now...give me money. Seriously. I would really like to help with the fundraising efforts for the Y-ME RACE for a cure which will be held on May 14. Plus if I raise $100.00 by April 21 I get a free t-shirt. If I raise $4000.00 I get my long desired ipod...but, I'll settle for a t-shirt. It would also make me look pretty great to my new employers...so you would be helping my career, people!

This is seriously a great cause, I know that you are asked to make donations to various non-profits all throughout the year, but breast cancer awareness is about as great a cause as any.

If you would like to make a donation, please make out a check to Y-ME RACE in the amount you would like to donate and get it to me ASAP. I will then make sure it gets into the appropriate hands at work and you will be sent a thank you letter in July for your records by the Y-ME peeps as long as your donation was $10 or more.
