Jacob bought me a little pouch.
I bought my little sister a little b-day present.
I kept thinking about the roast duck that was waiting for us in the car.
We bought fresh veggies at a little grocery store.
We walked around the courtyard and Jacob told me that this is the year of the dog.
But I am the year of the Ram.

Also called "year of the sheep" ram = sheep = lamb = Brookie and Her Lamb, the only children's book in the world with my name in it. I have been looking everywhere for that book again, but I think it's out of print. Bossy Brookie teaches her pet lamb how to read...that's all I remember.
Anyway, then we played in the little shops and I droooled over the beautiful dishes and Jacob taught me how to use an abicus (but not how to spell the word) and then I made Jacob put this hat on...

Which he loved doing.
Then Jacob taught me how to say the following things in chinese...
"I love Dim Sum"
"I love China town"
"I love Saki"
"Very good, grasshopper"
What? Saki? Yes. I drank it and I liked it. I know...Saki is mainly Japanese, but we found a random Japanese restaurant in Chinatown and saki-ed it up. I'd never had it before...it smells funny, but it tastes great and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Saki it to me.

Wherein I lose my sakiginity.
Then we called Erik at work and made him feel bad that he was at work and we were drinking saki in chinatown. But then we cheered him up by letting him know there was roast duck in the car for dinner.
I've decided that next year for my birthday I'm going to have a Chinatown party. It'll be dim sum madness. Just you wait.
