The whole city just feels different. Everyone is so happy and sweet. Today I even found myself sending Kris a link to a website where you can watch puppies live all day and we im-ed for a few minutes about the adorableness of the puppies...that is not really like us.
I voted FOR someone instead of AGAINST someone.
This was my third time voting for a president and it's SO much more fun to vote for someone who wins!
Obama's speech was beautiful and inspiring. I think I might actually love him.
Every person I know who doesn't live in Chicago texted me asking if I was at the rally. I wasn't. I heard it was amazing. But it was also amazing eating pizza at Kelly's with a bunch of friends. Especially in the last 30 seconds before California polls closed and we counted down as though it were New Years Eve. I could hear the entire city erupt into cheers. It was so moving.
I'm so excited for this. I can't wait to move forward with this amazing leader and once again feel proud of the country I live in. It truly feels like a new beginning for all of us, I can already feel the change.
Thank you to everyone who voted. Thank you to everyone who voted Obama. Thank you to everyone who voted McCain but has decided to stand behind our new president supportively.
Anything is possible.
