Apartment searching is such a drag. It used to be way more fun when I had no standards. I went to Chicago Apartment Finders and they were kind enough to show me the exact OPPOSITE of everything I was looking for. I have been on all the websites and done all the things you do.
If any of you live in cute buildings with one bedroom apts that are renting and are off either the red or brown lines or the 36 or 22 bus would you please fill me in. I don't think there are any apartments left in Chicago.

I will give my landlord a call tomorrow. Because I'm a forgetful old broad, give me a call or send me an email tomorrow (actually "today" since it's after midninght - - oy...) to remind me.
My landlord manages nearly every building on Elaine Place. I think of him as my personal Anna Madrigal.
My neighborhood is nice and affordable...just north of Irving, just west of Lincoln.
