Wherin Trixie and I Debate Superpowers and Dancing

With the fall television season in full swing, everyone online and in the actual world are all abuzz and atwitter. With "So You Think You Can Dance" behind us and this week being the premiere of "Heroes" Trixie and I enjoyed via IM a deep conversation about the merits of different abilities:

Brooke: do you guys watch LOST?
tracygetsmail: nope. i can't get addicted. i've seen those that are
Brooke: i am.
tracygetsmail: and I can't talk to them as much because i don't have anything LOST to say....
but i'm sure you're different.
Brooke: i'm not very different...i'm a little obsessed
tracygetsmail: hah. i listened to them talk last season about the numbers and all the theories on what the numbers meant madness
Brooke: yeah...it's fun and sometimes it is sad and sometimes it is SHOCKING
tracygetsmail: that's what i hear. you should get into Smallville
Brooke: boo...that's about superman
tracygetsmail: ask Wayne. or Tate. they'll tell you.
Brooke: tell tate to watch lost
tracygetsmail: lol. i'll try.
Brooke: i watched the premiere of heroes, did you?
tracygetsmail: nope. didn't make it home in time. was it good?
Brooke: eh...not as good as lost
tracygetsmail: poo
Brooke: it was so so. asi asi
tracygetsmail: hmm that's about superheros, isn't it?
Brooke: yeah, but they are kind of whiny. they are just learning about their powers
tracygetsmail: pffff
Brooke: and they are like "wah...i have powers" "wah, i wanna be normal but i have powers boo hoo"
tracygetsmail: if you could choose, would you be able to: (choose only one)
fly, have super hearing (only on demand, that is, not all the time), breathe underwater, or control weather
Brooke: ha ha. fly. totally now you:
tracygetsmail: yeah, that's what i would've out of those
Brooke: ok...
1. be invisible on demand
2. be able to eat lots of peeps without getting sick or fat or
3. not be burned by fire
tracygetsmail: hm.
Brooke: it's tricky
tracygetsmail: peeps.
Brooke: me too
tracygetsmail: invisible is the one that insecure people would pick, because they'd always be spying
Brooke: yeah, jerks. and underwater breathing is useless cause you would still have to be underwater surrounded by scary whales and stuff
tracygetsmail: true. would you rather be able to: turn yourself into a postage stamp,
Brooke: postage stamp!!
tracygetsmail: make plants grow with your mind or be able to tap dance
Brooke: TAP DANCE. no question
tracygetsmail: tappa tappa
Brooke: as much as I've always wanted to be a postage stamp....
tracygetsmail: well, you could mail yourself
Brooke: hm...true. are you drunk tracy?
tracygetsmail: no. darn it.
Brooke: would you rather
a. be able to tap dance
b. unlimited peeps etc etc
or c. be able to lick yourself clean like a kitty
tracygetsmail: oh man. tap. because if you were able to do the kitty thing you'd have to clean your ENTIRE self. ick
Brooke: people would stop being friends with you. but if you could tap...you'd have more friends
tracygetsmail: true
Brooke: as far as dancing is concerned...

c. be able to dirty dance with patrick swayze all the time but you have to look like jennifer gray BEFORE her nose job
tracygetsmail: crud. tap. ballet involves tight shoes and the c could be conceived as cheating.
Brooke: no...you don't have to make out with the Swayz (although why not?) just dance with him
tracygetsmail:if you could dance with one of these (So You Think You Can Dance stars) it would be

Brooke: travis. you?
tracygetsmail: agreed
Brooke: final question: ok...would you rather...

2. eat peeps with travis
c. go scuba diving
tracygetsmail: 2. no question. benji's not my type, and i've been scuba diving. plus, travis and I could eat a bunch of peeps, and start a dance troupe called "Travis and the Peeps"
we'd be hot.
Brooke: lol. wait...this is really the last one
tracygetsmail: HA !
Brooke: 1. have a mattress made out of peeps
2. have a house made out of peeps
