Holy Crap...I've raised $690.oo for Y-ME y'all. I can't even stand it. They are so proud of me at work that I got entered into a contest. Also, I'm getting TWO free t-shirts instead of one. OMG. Here are three things...
1) I've extended the deadline until MAY 5. All bets are still on until that point. If we cross $1000.000 I will take votes on what I have to do in exchange. So far one person suggested Speed Dating, another person suggested an entire sushi dinner. No matter what I do, I feel like it will involve a fish. (That would certainly make speed dating more interesting.) But it will definitely involve photos for the blog. ANyway, I'll take the top three suggestions, post them on the blog, and then you will all vote. For added incentive, if I am able to raise $1500.00...I will do everything. And for really added incentive....perhaps you don't understand the DEPTHS of my HATRED for all things seafood. I'm not talking like, I'll go eat some fish sticks or a tuna fish sandwich (though both of those things still make me wanna yarfle) I'm talking I will go to a restaurant and order THE FISH. My greatest fear?? What if it's good?
2) I am now accepting checks. Make them out to Y-ME RACE and put "In support of participant Brooke Allen" on the memo line and get them to me ASAP.
3) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a moment to see if your company does matching gifts. It will cost you nothing and will help me help other people and would be a huge huge boost to the fundraising.
